This man loves a bloody good laff, and likes making others
laff as well. Inspirations Billy Connolly, the man’s pure
genius, there’s a gentleness to his humour that he loves.
He believes that he’s a very compassionate man. He’d love
to meet him.
Then there’s Jasper Carrott, Goons, Monty Python, and all
damn sorts.
He has followed comedy for, as many years as he can remember,
it’s a very important thing to him.
"Humour gets us through all sorts of stuff, good and
bad."
There’s a great line in Monty Python’s song 'Always Look on
the Bright Side of Life'.
It goes like this “If life seems jolly rotten, there’s
something you’ve forgotten and that’s to smile and laugh and
dance and sing”
Words of comedy and pure genius.

Bill
Sykes is our latest contributor and here
is a short biography in the words of the man himself.
Bill was born in Huddersfield but army service and civilian
life has taken him to many different corners of the globe.
Apart from an
account of his war experiences Bill is also be sending
us his 'Thoughts
From America'.
He is currently resident in California with his wife Sheena.
Stephen
G Gaunt is our latest contributor with Steve
Pontificates. He moved to Huddersfield in 1972, and lives
with the wife close to Castle Hill at Newsome.
He started work at a TV repair shop in Marsh at the age of
15. as his school didn't consider that he had the ability
to pass 'O' levels!
Steve then spent 25 years working for various local companies'
all in the electronics or electrical industry.
Made redundant and spent a year doing nothing much.
Went back to full time education in 1992, getting a stack
of C&G's and then on to the University, obtaining his
degree in Electronics and Information Engineering in 1998.
Always had an interest in music, and as well as running a
mobile disco in the 70's, was the Progressive Night DJ at
Johnnys when it opened as a licensed club in 1969.
A member of the Builders Club in Town (sadly missed and never
bettered).
Like Pete attended most of the Ivanhoes concerts. and was
involved with several local bands (though his aspirations
as a guitarist were never realised).
These days work as a computer programmer/electronics designer
for a small contract development company in Huddersfield,
when he is not doing that he publishes his own software on
the Web at www.newsoft-solutions.co.uk
Sid
Motishead is another of our contributors and this guy
is completely weird!
Seems like our Sid has a few loose screws but his theories
are so plausible I couldn't resist asking his permission to
put his e-mails on the site.
Take a look for yourself
and if they don't get you thinking then you must be dead.
Very little is known about Sid apart from the fact that he
is as nutty as a fruitcake and has his own website but doesn't
want me to reveal it because he lives in fear of his own shadow.
I would put him in his late twenties or early thirties but
it's hard to tell. As far as I can work out he lives on his
own and spends a lot of time surfing the web. I think he has
been alone for a long, long time...............
