United States Foreign Policy II
What the world needs now.
Perhaps I should start this paragraph with "What
the world doesn't need now. !!!
I would suggest that the world definitely doesn't need the
sabre rattling of 37000 plus United States troops based
in South Korea playing soldiers in North Korea's backyard.
Apparently the United States and South Korea have launched
the biggest ever joint military exercise, which North Korea
have condemned as a declaration of war. Even South Korea
is not very happy about the situation as they have been
trying to settle their differences with North Korea over
the past few years, even though the two Koreas remain technically
at war as their three year conflict ended in 1953 in an
armistice which was never replaced by a permanent peace
treaty.
The
North Korean Government in Pyongyang is adamantly opposed
to being classified by Mr. Bush as a member of the so called
"Axis of evil" and have indicated that the combined
South Korea/United States military exercises are a prelude
to the launching of a nuclear war on the Korean peninsular.
If North Korea has nuclear weapons and intends to use them
against whom so ever, what do they expect. !!!
Generosity personified.
Once again Mr. Bush has dipped his hands into the public
coffers as if we own the "Bottomless well of monetary
wealth" and has pledged $200M anti-terrorist financial
aid to Peru, even though the Office of Budgetary Management
has revealed that a 2.1 trillion dollar national budget
has been planned for fiscal 2003 which will include a 43
billion dollars deficit, (Give or take a few billion).
I wish that our dear President would accept some degree
of fiscal responsibility and start looking after, and giving
priority to the welfare of his own flock.
