Bill Sykes' Newsletter from America.
(April 2004)
An ex-Brit gives his views---(without
fear or favor)---of the American scene.
Preamble:
It must be pretty obvious to the discerning reader, that
as I publish each of these news letters at the beginning
of the month, a majority of the news items are from the
previous month. (In this case, news and comments are for
the month of March 2004).
Preface:
I was going to start this news letter on an upbeat
note with a brief discussion of the glamorous Tinsel Town
Oscar awards but the implications of the terrible terrorist
orchestrated disaster in Spain, which killed 200 people
and injured some 1500 other civilians, has got to take
priority - we all have our priorities and this terrible
incident, which I’m sure will have far reaching
consequences has got to be put into perspective, reasons
examined and conclusions reached.
