Bill Sykes' Newsletter from America.
(April 2005)
An ex-Brit gives his views---(without
fear or favor)---of the American scene.
It
must be pretty obvious to the discerning reader, that
as I publish each of these newsletters at the beginning
of the month, a majority of the news items are from the
previous month. (In this case, news and comments are
for the month of March 2005).
Preface:
I really don’t know how many people read
the "View from America" newsletter, but I
do send out individual notifications to over sixty people
that I know have read at least one edition, a number who
have read, (or have scanned through), several editions,
and a limited number who could be said to have read every
edition.
It is difficult for me to write about items of
general interest without sometimes being repetitious, as
feedback is very limited, so please bear with me. I sometimes
have difficulty in finding subjects that I think will be
of general interest to a majority of the readers - so,
if anyone browsing this edition has a subject that they
think would be of general interest to the readership and
would like me to write about that subject, now would be
your big chance to speak up or forever hold your peace.
We welcome feedback about any of the contents
of these newsletters. Please send all correspondence
to bill_sykes@huddersfield1.co.uk
