Bill Sykes' Newsletter from America.
(Special Edition - Mid February 2003)
An ex-Brit gives his views-(without fear
or favor)---of the American Scene
After a glorious and warm January here in Southern California,
the rains have suddenly arrived and seeing that I had
nothing else of any great importance to accomplish in
the past few days, I sat down and wrote this newsletter,
which is as I said, “really” way ahead of
the curve and contains up to the minute news items. Don’t
expect this to happen every month as it takes a lot of
research and work to accomplish what I consider to be
an accurate and readable document.
Introduction.
Well you’ve had a months respite from politics,
politicians, war games, the White House, the corrupt practices
of big business, and some of the other current dangers
of this world we live in, so I’m afraid it's back
to reality and the daily utterings, meanderings and the
warmongering threats of President Bush and his cohorts
in crime.
It would appear from the number of e-mails received that
you enjoyed the different approach taken in the February
News Letter where I gave you a personal blow by blow account
of the reasons for making my decision to emigrate to America
and what we found upon our arrival. I enjoyed very much
answering your questions and hope that you were satisfied
with the answers that I gave. It is always a pleasure
to receive readers e-mail. This is a free forum and the
interchange of ideas is acceptable and feedback is very
important to my selection of subjects.
We welcome feedback about any of the contents
of these newsletters. Please send all correspondence to
