(Special Edition Mid-March 2003)

An ex-Brit gives his views-(without fear or favor)---of the American Scene

Introduction:
Seeing that the President of the United States and the Prime Minister of Great Britain appear to be determined to conduct a war against Iraq in the very near future, I thought that we should take "a walk down memory lane" and refresh people’s memories as to what real war looks like from ground zero.

This is also a wake up call for the younger readers, to remind them that the wars of the past will bear no resemblance to wars of the future, which will be conducted by video screens from remote locations and the only people to see the real horrors of war, the killing of people and the destruction of cities, will be the forward ground troops. I will present my interpretation of what I consider to be the "Video Game Wars" in a future edition of this news letter.
