Bill Sykes' Newsletter from America.
(November 2001)
Last Word.
Apparently Mr. Bush, after all his rhetoric supporting
Taiwan, has now been educated sufficiently in order to
be able to recognize the real situation and maybe has
had a change of heart.

Time will tell who is right---but personally I wouldn't
bet against mainland China at this juncture.
A very different kind of war.
The terrorists are diabolically clever.
First they hit the World Trade Center, then the TV information
centers and then the offices of Government and the mail
system.
It would appear feasible that the next immediate objectives
on their list will be the major financial institutions such
as banks, and the Stock Exchanges.
One way to cripple a country in this day of modern technology
is to disrupt Government, information systems and financial
institutions.
