An ex-Brit gives his views-(without fear
or favor)---of the American Scene
A day in the life of future British generations!
I must admit that I had a somewhat ulterior motive
in providing the readers in UK with details of American
political machinations as I wished to point out that the
people of Great Britain must face up to the facts, (real
or imagined), that you may be faced with a far more difficult
situation than we are currently facing in California, and
perhaps the views from a total outsider may be relevant,
or irrelevant, depending upon your own political leanings.
Having recently visited UK in June of 2003, I found
what I considered to be a somewhat alarming situation,
which would appear to have been brought about by the
influx into Britain of a large number of foreign nationals.
If the statistically feasible immigration figures are
correct and are not contained within specific limits
in the near future, and the British Government still
persists in operating the current and very costly monetary
give away programs to all and sundry asylum seekers
without having the fiscal backing of a wealth of natural
resources, plus an associated low cost manufacturing
capability, you may find yourselves bordering on a state
of fiscal bankruptcy within the next quarter of a century.
A likely extension to this scenario is the political
take over of City and County government by overseas minorities.
As a completely un-biased outsider I would advise the
people of UK to take a good look at what is currently
happening in some of the northern cities in England,
especially in the counties of Lancashire, Yorkshire,
and the Midlands.
Note:
The immigrants, (legal or otherwise), that enter
California are an essential part of the workforce and
we rely upon them in the main, to plant and harvest food
crops. It is low paid back breaking work by any standard,
but far better than the pay that they could receive
in Mexico.
At least they do work at jobs, which are
of great importance to our economy, unlike, (as I
was informed), a majority of your asylum seekers. I'm
not being patronising to the Mexican people, I'm just
looking at a problem that exists on both sides of the
border---we need manual labour and they need work and
a pay check.
