Bill Sykes' Newsletter
from America.
(October 2002)
An ex-Brit gives his views-(without fear
or favor)---of the American Scene
Last Word.
If Mr. Bush wishes to retain any resemblance of being a
world leader, perhaps he should concentrate on doing something
about the Israeli/Palestinian situation, prior to his stated
intentions to conduct a war against Iraq.
The
time is long overdue for the world at large to step up and
give this dreadful situation the recognition that it deserves
and in the name of humanity implement a United Nations resolution
stating that separate states of Israel and the Palestine
be re-established to the 1967 borders as suggested by Crown
Prince Abdullah of Saudi Arabia in his peace proposal of
May 2001.
The only way that I can see of this being implemented is
to send in NATO/United Nations peacekeepers to separate
the two factions, and I’m not sure that would be successfu!!!
