An ex-Brit gives his views-(without fear

Are the Pentagon Hawks riding upon the backs of the
Political Dogs of War???
Even
though President Bush continues to openly declare his desire
to remove Saddam Hussein, by all means at his disposal,
including military force if necessary, he has offered few
plans if any as to how he will accomplish this goal. Wise
move really, why tell the enemy your intentions prior to
the act---even if you really don’t know what your
intentions are.
Advanced planning appear to be afoot with reports circulating
as far back as the 5th of July, 2002, which envision that
if an attack on Iraq occurs, it will commence with huge
air attacks on the Iraqi infrastructure, with Special Forces
and covert CIA operatives striking suspected weapons of
mass destruction sites, including laboratories which may
have the capability of producing and distributing chemical
and biological weapons.
The reports indicate that plans for an attack on Iraq may
be the prime responsibility of Central Command in Tampa
Florida.
I
see in a recent report that Mr. Sharon will be visiting
Florida soon. Wonder if Tampa is on his travel itinerary?
Meanwhile, at the Crawford ranch in Texas, President Bush
declares that media reports of a go it alone war by the
United States against Iraq as being imminent, to be pure
speculation.
If that is so, why are all the key players from the Defense
Council attending the high level planning meetings???
Preparing for war!!!
Apparently satellite imagery has been reported to show
that a large, state of the art, airfield in the small Persian
Gulf nation of Qatar has recently been modernized to American
specifications at a tremendous cost of hundreds of millions
of dollars.
This airport is said to have two of the longest runways
in the region and that the recent installation of two giant
stealth type bomb proof hangers, which could house a considerable
number of aircraft, would certainly be an advantageous location
from which the United States could run an air war against
Iraq, seeing that Saudi Arabia has stated publicly that
the United States will not be permitted to conduct a war
against Iraq from US bases on Saudi soil.
Even
though President Bush and Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld
have publicly denied that no decision has been made at this
time to invade Iraq it is reported that the United States
has for several months been moving weapons, computers, and
supplies to the “al Udeid” airbase facilities
in Qatar, and at the same time improving facilities at Bahrain,
Oman and Kuwait.
Considerable United States military air traffic has been
reported flying into American bases in Britain and Germany.
Are these actions an obvious part of on going preparations
for a decision to invade Iraq, (should that decision be
forth coming). Preparations also appear to being made in
Eastern Turkey and the northern part of Iraq controlled
by the Kurds.
So who is misleading who???
