Bill Sykes' Newsletter
from America.
(September 2003)
An ex-Brit gives his views-(without fear
or favor)---of the American Scene
It must be pretty obvious to the discerning reader, that
as I publish each of these newsletters at the beginning
of the month a majority of the news items are from the
previous month. (In this case the news and comments are
for the month of August 2003).
I’ve decided that I will give main coverage to
three current major subjects in this issue of the "View
from America".
1) The United Sates East coast power outage.
2) The California re-call debacle.
3) The Current Middle East situation.
I do not apologise for the rather lengthy material,
as I find that the only way to convey the importance of
the subject matter is to provide full and accurate facts.
The general idea is that in order for the reader to make
an educated assessment of the situation being presented,
that he/she needs the full picture. Sorry about that—but
what you see is what you get.
We welcome feedback about any of the contents
