President
Bush issues another warning to Iran:
Dateline: Thursday the 11th of August 2005. Crawford, Texas.
This President has once again in his arrogance, or ignorance, said that he has
not ruled out the option of using force against Iran for what he calls Iran’s
decision to defy the United Nations Nuclear Agency, (IAEA), in its call for Iran
to suspend its nuclear activities. Apparently the United States and Israel are
very concerned with Iran’s decision to resume work on its nuclear programs
for obvious reasons.
In an interview with an Israeli TV reporter, President Bush in an answer to a
question posed by the reporter as to whether he the President was prepared to
use military force against Iran, stated, "Diplomacy is not working, and
therefore all options are on the table". To be scrupulously fair he also
said, "The use of force is a last resort for any President", but
there again didn’t he say that before we went to war with Iraq.
Surely this is the same man who gave the order to go
to war against Iraq based upon misinformation, lies and
false premises and surely he must realise that a war
against Iran would be a far different and certainly more
dangerous conflict than the current fiasco in Iraq, as
Iran has at least three times the population and is
certainly better equipped from a military standpoint.
Iran would be a much more formidable enemy and the United
States does not have sufficient military forces to conduct
two separate wars in the Middle East even with the help
of Israel who to the best of my knowledge have an American
assisted nuclear capability.
The formation of an Israeli state has been a major
Middle East problem and stumbling block since the inception
of that state in 1948, and if anyone would have the temerity
to use weapons of mass destruction surely Israel could
be a prime candidate. An attack on Iran at this juncture
would surely create a much more volatile and hostile
situation worldwide than the one that currently exists.
The former President of Iran, Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani,
speaking at a prayer meeting on Friday the 12th of August
2005 in Teheran was reported to have expressed surprise
at the call by the UN nuclear agency for Iran to suspend
its nuclear activities, and added that the resumption
of Iran’s nuclear program is irreversible and western
opposition to Iran’s decision would cost them dearly.
Relevant information:
Mined uranium ore is purified and reconstituted
into a solid form known as yellow cake.
Yellow cake is converted into a gas by heating it to about 64 degrees centigrade,
(147 degrees Fahrenheit).
The gas is then fed through centrifuges where its isotopes separate and the
process is repeated until uranium is enriched.
Low-level enriched uranium is used for nuclear fuel, and highly enriched uranium
can be used in nuclear weapons.
Hasn’t this President of the United States caused
enough bloodshed in the Middle East already, without
issuing his recent veiled threats to attack Iran even
though both he and we the people know that we do not
have sufficient military personnel to control the current
chaotic post war situation in Iraq, let alone attack
Iran?
This weak threat to institute possible military action against Iran is currently
unsupportable, unless Mr. Bush wishes to take a leaf out of President Truman’s
book and set up another Enola Gay bombing mission which would increase the
death toll in the Middle East to a point that would create a possible retaliation
of a similar nature due to an unbelievable desire by the Muslim races, (supported
by other great powers), to seek retribution against the American people. (See
first sentence of late breaking news item)
The responsibility for the deaths of over 2000 young
American and coalition soldiers, and the maiming of over
15,000 others, plus the deaths of untold Iraqi civilians
can be laid directly at the door of this President and
his administration. Surely the time has come for the
America public to recognise how dangerous this person
and his entourage are, and take legislative action to
have them removed from office on the basis of complete
and total incompetence in starting a war based upon misinformation,
lies and deception, which has cost the American public
dearly and which will affect the lives of many Americans
for decades to come.
The declarations and threats coming
from the mouth of this President are immature in nature
and preposterous in lack of realistic knowledge of the
ways of the world, and this is a man who has been declared
by some of the American’s public who voted him
into power to be a world leader. Ugh!
My Comment:
This is not Monday morning
quarterbacking on my part, for if you have read some
of my previous newsletters in, "View
from America", you certainly must remember, and
I hope agree, with my constant opposition from day one
to both the war in Afghanistan and the war in Iraq when
based upon the inaccurate, false, and misleading reasons
given for going to war, which were very much against
the will of many of the leading and powerful members
of the United Nations.
