Bill Sykes' - In Retrospect

Bill
Sykes looks back in retrospect at material which has
been published in previous editions of "View from
America", in an attempt to determine whether the
subject matter written then is still applicable in
today’s world.
Article # 24.
September 11th, 2010 Edition
In memoriam - memories of a day that will go down in infamy.
Nine years ago today I wrote my first article for the Huddersfield One website and at that time I was in a quandary as to what kind of subject I was going to write about and then came the terrible tragedy from the air which was committed by a group of Muslim extremists who used public passenger transportation aircraft, which they commandeered during flight, in order to fly them into the World Trade Center building in New York and the Pentagon building in Washington D.C.
So what better time than now, on the ninth anniversary of that terrible crime against humanity, that I should try to recapture those terrible moments in time when American security was breached and so many innocent people were cruelly and so violently killed.
Please bear with me as I try to resurrect those cruel and violent actions, which killed so many innocent individuals and devastated most people of this world.
I’ve decided to repeat that first newsletter, word for word, in memory of all the people that were killed that day by the terrible actions that were taken by a particular group of Muslim extremists, and I would like to include all the people, wives, husbands, children, friends, acquaintances, who still mourn the death of so many loved ones..
I do not offer any apologies for resurrecting what I consider to be a very important newsletter, but I do offer my personal condolences to all those who have suffered both then and now from the actions that were taken that very day nine years ago by that group of extremists.
Coincidence: Sheena and I were married 62 years ago today in a small church in the village of Cadley, (which is located in Savernake Forest), Marlborough, Wiltshire, England, on the 11th of September 1948.
Disclaimer:
Some of the information gathered for this news letter has been gleaned from American and international media sources, (including the internet), and as such is quoted as accurately as possible.
I try to obtain confirmation on each subject from several outlets, so the text is a mixture of composite items and personal comments and therefore the reader must make his/her own judgment as to the reliability and degree of accuracy of the subjects discussed.
