Will the carnage ever stop?
Come to think of it, has it ever stopped?
Man's inhumanity to man has been ongoing from the days
when we homo sapiens began to walk upright and believe that
we are the intelligencia of the universe and proceeded to
slaughter each other for many and varied reasons.
Never more so than now, when we get the blood and guts
reality of "instant war" thrust upon us by each
and every TV station which beams the carnage into our living
rooms and our lives on a daily, nay hourly, basis.
To coin an American phrase, "The world is going to
hell in a hand basket".
Here are a couple of recent episodes from different locations
throughout the world.
7 May 2002: Rishon Letzion, near Tel Aviv, (Israel), a suicide
bomber exploded a bomb in a crowded social club killing
sixteen people.
9 May 2002: Kaspiysk, (Caspian seaport of Dagestan), near
Karachi, (India), a car bomb exploded alongside a transportation
bus killing fourteen French engineers and four other people
who were working on a Pakistani naval project.
