THIS IS THE STORY OF ONE MAN'S BATTLE AGAINST DEPRESSION
AND WILL CONTAIN INFORMATION, DATA AND LINKS TO HELP OTHER DEPRESSIVES
THROUGH THE BAD TIMES.
I
guess, in retrospect, I've always been a highly-strung individual.
As far back as I can remember I have always loved or hated - there
have been no in-betweens. People, objects, music, art, just about
everything! And living life with that kind of intensity eventually
took its toll. I don't want to dwell too much on the pre-crash man,
let's just say that he created one hell of a mess and leave it at
that. So where do we begin? Start with 'The Crash' from the links
on the right and then follow each page.
We have also added a section containing an article, entitled Psychiatry:
The Uncertain Science, culled from The Saturday Evening
Post of August 10th, 1968. Although dated, the article, written
by Richard Lemon, seems as relevent today as it did back then. A
recommended read for all depression sufferers or their nearest and
dearest.
The following pages are dedicated to fellow sufferers of the 'Black
Dog', as Winston Churchill once aptly described depression, and
to the many people who have tried to understand and help - I love
you all!
