The Mighty Oak.
by Neil Hudson

The mighty oak heard of the insecurity and sadness of the leaf and wanted to understand and help.
The leaf had spoken of its youth and how happy it was.
The wise old oak remembered that time with great affection.
But at the end of this time, the leaf lost its way. It had had many misfortunes, that it didn't quite realize it had overcome them.
The leaf had struggled, but got there.

The Oak wanted the leaf to know, that it was not in the autumn / winter season of its life but still in the early summer.
The leaf was never destined to be alone. The leaf was and was always had been an important part of the oak tree, it gave the tree beauty and colour and was a source to its life.
The leaf had not even changed colour yet, just thought it had. The oak tree reminded the leaf that even when it changed colour it was beautiful.
People would stop and look in wonder at its astonishing colour.

At the time of letting go, it hurt the leaf, but it was a natural course of nature.
And so it lay sad until a car went past, and so began a dance.
The leaf thought this may be the last, but there were many cars to pass before the leaf decayed and died.
The leaf was too good to end up alone in some corner.

Dave's life was never in vain, he contributed, tried and never gave in. He was funny, strong and more wise than he gave himself credit for.

The wise old oak went through another winter, and spring was born, a time of new beginnings future, life, love and happiness.
