Born
and raised in Huddersfield, my Dad was Duncan, my Mum Mary was
a teacher and was Scottish and my family Coupland owned woollen
mills. Grew up in Kirkheaton, lived next door to Mrs Crank and
her 10 Crank boys on Second Avenue.
Anyone know of my family? I've lived in Canada and the US for
25 years but have always followed the Terriers. |

10 children and married Zilpha Redfearn. In 1916 when my mother

G'Day, I write
concerning my attempt to find living relatives in Yorkshire. Perhaps
someone can assist me with some questions.
The data I have indicates
that my uncle, Glyndwr Elliott lived in Huddersfield in
the 1940's. His wife, Agnes Elliott died in January,
1942 at Huddersfield. While I have the death certificate,
I am unable to decipher the name of the hospital. The
cause of death was pulmonary TB and lists her address as
that of the hospital. I had hoped to find an address
for my uncle but he is listed, on the certificate as living
at the same address as his wife.
I know that he had three
children, Eileen,Trevor and Lynda Elliott. Lynda
was born in 1935 and married Raymond Clancy in Huddersfield. Eileen
married Terrance Geary, also in Huddersfield, and Trevor
married Doreen Stubley. I would like to know if these
first cousins of mine are still living and something of
their descendents. I live in the States and am seeking
suggestions regarding how to go about this search. Any
help will be appreciated.
I
have consideralbe info on my ELLIOTT line that goes back
to the mid 1600's and would like to go forward now.
Thanking you in advance, I am Bella Elliott
Creel and can be reached at bellapm@charter.net.

I have been trying to find my grandfather,
Lewis Kelly, birthplace, and any information about him. I just
discovered that his last place of residence was Huddersfield;
he left for Ellis Island on October 28, 1902. My father, Eugene
Kelly, was born in Pittsburgh, Pa. on Feb. 5th 1905. Does anyone
have any information re this family? thanks so much. |
