May
After the end of Huddersfield Town's disastrous season, which
ended up with them being relegated from the Nationwide League Division
2 to the Third Division it was announced by the club that the manager,
Mel Machin and two coaches, David Wilkes and Dave Watson were being
released by the club.
This leaves the financially troubled club in dire straits
as they are currently in administration and have 11 first team players
out of contract this summer. Indeed the situation could lead to
the closure of club and the end of 95 years of illustrious history.
Although Town have an offer of a takeover from former
director Paul Byrne on the table and another bid close to being
submitted from another consortium the future is far from rosy.
