Closed Season 2004

Closed Season 2004
A quiet closed season for the Terriers where transfer activity
was minimal to say the least. After the securing of promotion last
season Town acquired two new signings in Chris Brandon, a central
midfielder, from Chesterfield and Junior Mendes, a striker, from
Mansfield.
Players transferred out were Dwayne Mattis and Jon Newby to Bury,
Iffy Onuora to Walsall and Tyrone Thompson to Scarborough. Released
from the club were Ian Hughes and Paul Scott.
At the start of the season William Hills offered odds of 20-1
that Huddersfield would gain an automatic promotion place, 7-1
that they would reach the play-off's and 13-2 that they would be
relegated.
