Division Two Play Offs Semi Final - Second Leg
Brentford 2 - 1 Huddersfield Town
Despite taking the lead in the 2nd minute through an Andy Booth shot, Huddersfield succumbed to concerted Brentford pressure and were knocked out of the play-offs.

The lead lasted for just 12 minutes as Brentford equalised from a set piece. Darren Powell was the player who headed home a free kick.

After the break it was the Bees who scored the deciding goal when Lloyd Owusu fired the ball past the despairing dive of Martin Margetson as the second half got underway.

So it is back to the drawing board for Town as they remain in the Second Division for another season.

Division Two Play Offs Semi Final - First Leg
Huddersfield Town 0 - 0 Brentford
Huddersfield striker Andy Booth should have given the home team a first leg advantage but had two goals disallowed, one for handball and one for offside, and also struck the woodwork.

Apart from this the two teams cancelled each other out and Town now face a difficult task in the return leg.

April 20th
Nationwide League - Division Two
Notts County 2 - 1 Huddersfield Town
The result of this match wasn't really important as Town had already reached the play-offs but it was vital to Notts County who were trying to avoid relegation.

Notts County put in a sterling performance and too the lead in the 14th minute when a Richard Liburd cross was headed past Margetson by Danny Allsopp.

Town created a couple of chances themselves but the County defence held firm and after the break extended their lead with a goal from Kevin Nicholson, who drove the ball home with a low shot from the edge of the area.

Town managed to pull a goal back late in the game when Facey was fouled in the box, Kenny Irons making no mistake from the penalty spot, but it was too little, too late and County made sure of their Second Division status at the expense of Bournemouth.

Nationwide League - Division Two
Huddersfield Town 2 - 1 Port Vale
Despite going a goal behind in the first half Town managed to reach the Division 2 play-off's after beating Port Vale and seeing their rivals, Bristol City, lose.

Town were slow off the blocks and Port Vale took the lead in the 7th minute through Bridge -Wilkinson who hit a marvellous free kick that went over the wall and beat Martyn Margetson.

Port Vale continued to outplay Town but it was the home team who drew level when Delroy Facey latched on to a Chris Hay cross and fired the ball home.

After the break manger Lou Macari made a tactical substitution when he sent on Andy Booth for Chris Hay and this paid dividends when the big striker headed home a
