
TOWN IN THE TEXACO CUP
This cup competition, sponsored by the Texaco Oil Company,
was instigated for the start of the 1970-71 season and featured
invited football clubs from the British Isles who were not
involved in European Cup Tournaments. Town competed for the
only time in its five season existence, during the 1971-2
campaign and were eliminated after the second round sequence
of two-legged matches:
