THE WEST RIDING COUNTY SENIOR CUP
(after 1939 the West Riding Senior Cup)
Huddersfield Town reached the Final of this competition
- the successor to the West Yorkshire Cup - during its first
season under the new title, but were soundly beaten by Bradford,
for whom Tommy Little scored all their goals.
Then members of the Midland League, Town had
disposed of Barnoldswick United at Sandhall Lane, Halifax,
by 6-1 in the semi-final to reach their first senior Final,
but their Football League Second Division opponents were,
not unnaturally, superior in every department.
However, Town went on to appear in numerous Finals
since. In the games listed below, as everywhere else in this
book 'Bradford' refers to the Park Avenue club. Bradford City
is so called.
