Pink Floyd - A Saucerful of Secrets
Recorded in 1967, before Syd Barrett vanished into obscurity,
this album defined the Floyd as one of the most progressive
bands around. The two most outstanding tracks are Set The
Controls For The Heart Of The Sun and A Saucerful of Secrets.
Still as fresh today as it was 34 years ago! |
| Pink Floyd - Piper At The Gates Of Dawn
Another 1967 album with most of the tracks from the mind of
Syd Barrett. Less progressive but none the less psychadelic
and way ahead of its time.
Interstellar Overdrive and Astronomy Domine are the pick of
the tracks. |

Pink Floyd -
The Music From More
A 1969 album with music created specifically for the film
More directed by Barbet Schroeder and starring Mimi Farmer
and Klaus Grunberg. Mainly Roger Waters solo compositions
this disk continues the good work that Floyd had created post-Barrett |
|
Pink Floyd -
Ummagumma
A live album and a studio album make this CD a bargain buy.
The live album is an early 'greatest hits' set recorded
in 1969 whilst the studio album contains a collection of
post-Barrett songs (although the track titles are reminiscent
of the Madcap!

Pink Floyd - Atom Heart Mother
The first album after Barrett left the band and David Gilmour
took his place.
The 23 minute title track is a magnificent piece of music
that is more reminiscent of a classical composition played
by a rock band, a symphony of guitar and electronic music
at its best!. |
| Pink Floyd - Meddle
This 1971 album continued the good work established in Atom
Heart Mother.
Sweeping synthesiser and exquisite guitar work add to the
Floyd's reputation as one of the monsters of rock. Includes
One Of These Days and Echoes. Magic! |

Pink Floyd -
Dark Side Of The Moon
Made in 1972 and an all time classic that stayed in the
charts throughout most of the 1970's. Contains the nearest
the Floyd came to a single in the post-Syd era with Money
- before Another Brick in The Wall of course.

|
Pink Floyd -
Wish You Were Here
The last truly great Pink Floyd album in my opinion, made
in 1975. Ranks alongside Atom Heart Mother, Meddle and Umagumma
as a post-Syd classic and indeed carries a tribute to the
great man with Shine On You Crazy Diamond

Pink Floyd -
Animals
Animals was a powerfully stark and angry album from the pen
of Roger Waters. Released in 1977 it heralded the start of
Waters influence on the direction that Pink Floyd were to
take in The Wall. This album made it into the Top 5 of the
US and UK charts. |
| Pink Floyd -
The Wall
This 1979 double CD is regarded as Roger Water's magnum opus
and also as the ultimate concept album of this genre. The
album is also famous for giving us the hit Another Brick in
the Wall, Floyd's greatest single success since See Emily
Play.
A definite departure from the familiar Floyd of the early
1970's! |

|
Pink Floyd -
A Momentary Lapse of Reason
David Gilmour had a hand in composing all of the songs on
this 1987 album and this helps just a hint of the Pink Floyd
of old.

Pink Floyd -
Echoes - The Best Of
An instant collection of Floyds greatest tunes released
towards the end of 2001.
A double CD cdovering all the major albums from 1967's Piper
at the Gates of Dawn to 1994's Division Bell. If you ain't
got the original albums this is an excellent album to own!
