Gong -
Camembert Electrique
Not a hint of cheesiness in this hippy offering from the pen
of (mainly) Daevid Allen. Tracks such as Squeezing Sponges
Over Policemen's Heads hint at their contents. Made in France
in the early 1970's. |
Supertramp -
Breakfast In America
One of the most underrated albums of the 1970's this excellent
piece of work gave Supertramp a hit single and was appreciated
on the other side of the Atlantic. Words and music by Rick
Davies and Roger Hodgson. |

Fleetwood Mac-
Rumours
One of the best selling albums of all time, this offering
from Mac was recorded in 1976. Classic tracks include Dreams,
Don't Stop and Go Your Own Way ( and also the Grand Prix theme
music on BBC). |

Camel -
Rain Dances
Aristillus and Song Within A Song are possibly Camel's finest
moments! This 1976 album is well worth the purchase price.

Caravan -
The Best Of
Use this as a sampler to listen to the music of one of the
finest bands on the Progressive/Underground rock scene.
A blend of folk, jazz and classical music was very experimental
but good.

|
Santana -
LT Series
65 minutes of Latin rock with the guitar maestro doing the
business! One or two familiar tracks but some obscure, good
material too.

Camel -
Moonmadness
Camel offer a subtle blend of delightful melodies and soft
lyrics to produce some wonderful sounds. The songwriting
talents of Latimer and Bardens never eceived the acclaim
they deserved.

Men Opening Umbrellas Ahead - Vivian Stanstall
One of the most amusing and clever albums I have ever heard!
Made in 1974, and featuring members of Traffic and various
African chums
Sadly Vivian is no longer with us and neither is my copy
of this album. Copies gratefully accepted!
