A VISIT TO LOCH NESS

Highland Cow
A LOCAL RESIDENT!

In March, 2000 I had the opportunity to travel up to Scotland to visit Wandering Willy the mad Scotsman! As he had a few days holiday from work we decided to visit Inveness and Loch Ness in the Scottish Highlands. It was the furthest north I had ever been in Scotland and the panorama's that greeted me took my breath away. I have included a few photographs on this page which really fail to do justice to the snow covered hills, the sheer size of the Loch and the other beautiful panorama's that my eyes feasted upon as we drove along its banks.

I guess that the only way anybody can appreciate the area is to visit it for themselves. I guarantee that the scenery will delight and bewitch!

There are also a host of interesting places to visit if you make Inverness your base. A detailed description of some of the places can be found on the SCOTTISH ATTRACTIONS page.

Look carefully at the photograph above. If the photographer had used the right lens at the right elevation then the rocks in the foreground could be made to look like the humps of the Loch Ness Monster! Couldn't they?
